Tumor Necrosis Factor Receptor Superfamily, Member 9
Optimization of Lentivirus Production for Cancer Therapy - DiVA
It is expressed on activated T cells. CD137 is a type I membrane protein and a member of the tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily. CD137 appears to be important for T cell proliferation and survival, and induces monocyte activation through its interaction with 4-1BB ligand. T and NK lymphocytes express CD137 (4-1BB), a costimulatory receptor of the TNFR family whose function is exploitable for cancer immunotherapy. Mitochondria regulate the function and survival of T lymphocytes. CD137 is a 39 kD transmembrane protein also known as 4-1BB.

This receptor contributes to the clonal expansion, survival, and development of T cells. It can also induce proliferation in peripheral monocytes, enhance T cell apoptosis induced by TCR/CD3 triggered activation, and regulate CD28 co-stimulation to promote Th1 cell responses. Description. Recombinant HEK293 cell line expressing a full length human CD137 (4-1BB) (NM_001561). The NF-ĸB luciferase reporter construct is stably integrated into the genome. The firefly luciferase gene is controlled by 4 copies of NF-κB response element located upstream of the TATA promoter.

It is expressed mainly on activated CD4+ and CD8+ T cells, and binds to a high-affinity ligand (4-1BBL) expressed on several antigen-presenting 4-1BB (CD137) is another costimulatory receptor expressed on activated T cells (CD4+, CD8+, and NKT), activated NK cells, DCs, eosinophils, and mast cells. 4-1BB is a member of the TNFR superfamily that is inducibly expressed on T cells following stimulation through the TCR complex.
CD137 (4‐1BB, TNF‐receptor superfamily 9) is a surface glycoprotein of the TNFR family which can be induced on a variety of leukocyte subsets.

CD137 is a member of the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) receptor family. Its alternative names are tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 9 (TNFRSF9), 4-1BB and induced by lymphocyte activation (ILA). CD137 (ILA/4-1BB), a member of the TNF receptor family, was shown previously to inhibit proliferation and to induce apoptosis in T lymphocytes. In this study, we identify CD137 as a novel and potent monocyte activation factor. CD137 (4-1BB, TNF-receptor superfamily 9) is a surface glycoprotein of the TNFR family which can be induced on a variety of leukocyte subsets. On T and NK cells, CD137 is expressed following activation and, if ligated by its natural ligand (CD137L), conveys polyubiquitination-mediated signals via TNF receptor associated factor 2 that inhibit apoptosis, while enhancing proliferation and Se hela listan på academic.oup.com 4-1BB (CD137) is an activation-induced costimulatory molecule that is expressed on activated T cells, NK cells, dendritic cells, eosinophils, mast cells, endothelial cells, and some tumor cells.
